Biography

Undeniably, Gracie Foreman is destined to become a significant force in the event planning realm. Known as a passionate and goal-driven person who gives her best in everything she does; Gracie has been gracing the events field for more than 10 years, working with world-class events and traveling in different places. As evidence of her determination to make her dream a reality, Gracie has successfully established her own company, Opulent Events by Gracie.

A Jersey girl with southern roots, Gracie once dreamed to be a fashion model, which introduced her to fashion designing and later on led her to her first love—event planning. Attending several colleges including Parson School of Design and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Gracie also obtained her certifications in International Event and Wedding Planning Professional (IEWP) from QC School of Event Planning. Moreover, she is a proud member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, she was a member of International Special Events Society (ISES) and Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), which are all well-known and highly respected associations.

Prior to becoming a business owner, Gracie imparted her services to other companies within the pharmaceutical industry. Hence, this motivated her to become an internationally certified event and wedding planning professional. In retrospect, Gracie started as an event coordinator and executive global senior lead administrative assistant at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Having strong international and domestic contacts, she accomplished several projects worth up to $3 million, which involved initiating the planning and management of major meetings, while organizing over off-site team building events in various locations in and out of the country, including Germany.

After four years of service, Gracie worked at Celgene Corporation as an event coordinator for Early Drug Development, Hematology, and Oncology divisions. Her international experience has allowed her to work with diverse cultural group of experts in the field, including negotiating the terms and conditions of several R&D scientists and world renowned doctors as well as organizing international conferences and intercompany events. Moreover, she has honed her skills and knowledge of both corporate and pharmaceutical processes, policies, regulations, and industry-related guidelines, which include standard operating procedures development (SOPs), Quality Management System (QMS), Compliance Procedures, and HIPPA Law. Hence, she has developed a unique set of skills to offer to her corporate clients, especially the pharmaceutical industry. Her competency allows her to be part of various groups, such as DMC (Data Management Committee), Steering Committee Board, Advisory Board and Executive Boards for project-related tasks as well as for their meeting and event needs. Some of her notable contributions included playing an instrumental part in the company’s worldwide annual participation conferences, particularly the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and ASH, which were considered two of the largest conferences in the pharmaceutical industry.

Now, as her passion for life shines through in everything she does, Gracie has carved her name in the industry and is continually making a reputation for herself as a well-versed and success-driven event designer.

Outside the corporate world and away from the hustle and bustle of life, Gracie spends her time enjoying outdoor sports such as hiking, horseback riding as well as dancing Salsa and other Latin-style dances. Although known as a social butterfly, she also values quiet, relaxing moments with her family to refresh and reflect from her fast-paced life.
